Arlington Real Estate Market

Arlington homes for sale come in a wide variety of styles and price points. Arlington condos and townhomes typically start in the low $100s for single-bedroom units, with condos for sale typically tapering off at three-bedroom units in the $300s and townhomes topping out at three-bedroom units in the high $500s and low $600s.

Single-family homes, which comprise the bulk of the Arlington real estate market, typically begin in the high $100s, with two- or three-bedroom ranch homes being common. When it comes to luxury real estate, however, Arlington luxury homes can easily exceed home values of $1 million and may even exceed $2 million for some properties in the most expensive neighborhoods.

Some of the most popular neighborhoods in Arlington include Viridian, Pantego, and Dalworthington Gardens. Arlington is also home to several gated communities, such as Loch Highland Estates.

Arlington Community Amenities

Arlington boasts several well-known attractions and things to do, including the Arlington Museum of Art and Six Flags Over Texas. It's also big on the DFW sports scene, as it's home to Globe Life Field and the AT&T Stadium, as well as Texas Live!, one of the best places in the metroplex to have a watch party, celebrate after the game, or have a great night out in general.

Hurricane Harbor is North Texas' biggest water park. Tackle the rides and slides, float along the lazy river, or get tossed around in the million-gallon wave pool—there's no better way to beat the summer heat!

If you're in the mood for water recreation in a more natural setting, Lake Arlington is an excellent place to go fishing, canoe or kayak, or ride a jet ski. Anglers can find species such as black bass, catfish, crappie, and others.

Arlington is also home to the University of Texas at Arlington, a Tier 1 research university best known for its Nursing degree program. It's one of the biggest public universities in Texas, only behind Texas A&M in College Station, the University of Houston in the city of Houston, and the main UT campus in the city of Austin.

River Legacy Parks is a beautiful 1,300-acre green space in the north of the city and features riverside walking trails, a living science center, playgrounds, picnic areas, and much more. The parks in Arlington also include several dog parks.

Arlington has multiple golf courses, including the Lake Arlington golf course, Shady Valley Country Club, Meadowbrook Park Golf Course, Rolling Hills Golf Club, and the Texas Rangers Golf Club, among others.

  • Arlington is the home of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Live! right between the two stadiums. Nightlife doesn't get much better for sports fans!
  • Six Flags Over Texas is an amusement park with over 50 rides, including roller coasters, pop culture-themed rides, and more.

Arlington School Information

Arlington Independent School District covers Arlington and much of the Tarrant County portion of the neighboring city of Grand Prairie. It comprises over 70 schools, including 50+ elementary schools, 10 middle schools, half a dozen high schools, and multiple alternative and specialty schools.

Arlington students have about two dozen private schools available, some of the most popular of which include Grace Preparatory Academy, The Oakridge School, and St. Maria Goretti Catholic School. About 58% of Arlington private schools are religiously affiliated, and the schools available cover all grade levels.

College and university students in Arlington often attend UTA, but there are several other options nearby as well. Within about 20 miles, Arlington students have access to both private and public colleges such as the University of Dallas in the city of Irving, Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, and Tarrant County College, among others.
