Crystal Falls Amenities: Crystal Falls Golf Club, Pools, & More
Nestled between Northwest Austin's booming business corridor and the natural beauty of Central Texas, you'll find the master-planned Crystal Falls community. Here, near the small city of Leander, residents enjoy looking out from their custom luxury homes at the endless Hill Country views. The community further entices homebuyers with some of the best possible lifestyle amenities.
Crystal Falls’ outdoor activities include 18 holes of world-class golf, multiple resort-quality swimming pools, a community tennis court, and a professional-level disc golf course. An abundance of parks, paths, and playgrounds connect residents with nature, while several hangout spots and event venues allow neighbors to socialize. The following guide explores some of the many conveniences Crystal Falls residents can access daily.
Play the Greens at the Crystal Falls Golf Club
The 18 holes at Crystal Falls Golf Club weave through scenic canyons and foothills, creating one of the most picturesque public courses in this part of Texas. The par 72 track totals about 6,600 yards from the blue tees and just under 5,200 yards from the reds. With super-tight fairways, demanding elevation changes, and hazards on almost every hole, Crystal Falls offers a challenging round to players of every handicap.
Discounted green fees are available to Leander residents and range from $40 to $50, depending on the day and time. Rates are somewhat higher for the general public, though membership plans are available for frequent golfers and groups.
Practice facilities at Crystal Falls include the nearby driving range, chipping area, and putting green. The pro shop here sells gear, accessories, and attire, so if your putter quit working, you can quickly find a replacement. Golfers also appreciate booking a tee time online via the club's website.
After a round, grab a beer and a burger at Gino's Vino on the Green or check the full menu of homestyle Italian favorites and their fully stocked bar. Crystal Falls Golf Club also hosts various public and private tournaments and events throughout the year, including the annual Hill Country Amateur Championship.
Gather at the 19th Hole Pavilion
A chip shot away from Crystal Falls' 18th green, across the street from the community tennis court, is the 19th Hole Pavilion. Large enough to accommodate 200 people, this gathering place serves as the neighborhood's year-round outdoor events venue.
A stone fireplace, covered patio, and outdoor kitchen with grilling stations are within the fenced area around the pavilion, making it the perfect spot for parties, picnics, and weddings. Those living in Crystal Falls enjoy a discounted rental rate, while non-residents can also reserve the 19th Hole Pavilion. The City of Leander holds occasional functions here as well.
Cool Off in The Grotto
The Grotto pool and playground areas are just inside the entrance at South Bagdad Road and Crystal Falls Parkway. The sparkling-blue pool is open to residents year-round and features several waterfalls and built-in underwater bench seating. Texas Hill Country oaks shade the entire area, including an adjacent playscape, where kids can run, jump, climb, swing, and slide to their heart's content. The fenced-in pool and playground park are accessible via resident key card only.
A covered pavilion sits between the swim and play areas, providing visitors with a shady relaxing spot. Tucked underneath the canopy of nearby oaks are several grilling stations and limestone tables, perfect for picnics and social gatherings.
Outside the fenced area, an open sports field and sand volleyball court provide even more fun and games.
Stay Active at Quarry Park
Quarry Park is a neighborhood gathering spot featuring more than 10 acres dedicated to outdoor amenities and activities for residents and their guests. Located in The Highlands section of the community, residents can find more of Crystal Falls' pools here.
The park boasts a Junior Olympic swimming pool, a three-foot deep toddler pool, and a deep-water slide pool. An adjacent splash pad and water features deliver hours of wet and wild fun on hot Texas afternoons. Several limestone benches provide visitors a place to watch kids play.
A well-designed 18-hole disc golf course is another highlight of Quarry Park. Open year-round, from dusk to dawn, players of all ages and skill levels will find Crystal Falls' disc golf course both fun and challenging.
In addition to swimming and playing disc golf at the park, residents enjoy access to a multi-use sports field, picnic and grilling areas, and a stocked fishing pond. An age-appropriate playscape nearby provides children ages 2 to 12 with plenty of swinging, sliding, and climbing fun.
Quarry Park is home to community events, like Crystal Falls' annual Summer Celebration.
Get in a Match at the Tennis Court
You'll find the community tennis court a short walk from the Crystal Falls Golf Club parking lot and across the street from the 19th Hole Pavilion. Open year-round to residents and accompanied guests, a key card is required to access the fenced area. Along one side of the court, spectators can cheer their favorite players from the unique natural limestone bleachers.
Next to the tennis court, neighborhood kids enjoy a specially designed playscape area with slides, play fort structures, and a climbing rock. This playground is ideal for ages two to six, and nearby rock benches provide plenty of seating.
