Steiner Ranch Map & Neighborhood Guide: Discover Steiner Ranch Austin

Heading toward Lake Travis along the ridgeline on FM 620, about a mile and a half before you get to the Mansfield Dam, you'll find the entrance to Steiner Ranch. Among the first things people notice after turning into this Travis County neighborhood are the sweeping views extending to the horizon in all directions. Welcome to the Texas Hill Country.
Here's a map of Steiner Ranch that we'll be referring to throughout the article. We're starting at the north end of North Quinlan Park Road.

About a quarter of a mile from the entrance is the turn-in for Quinlan Crossing shopping center on your right. The Retreat at Steiner Ranch is to the left, featuring several new single-family properties from Lennar home builders. Continue down Quinlan Park Road, and you can explore all the neighborhoods and Steiner Ranch homes for sale.
North End of Steiner Ranch

Half a mile south of the Quinlan Crossing shopping center are the homes and neighborhoods on the northern half of the Steiner Ranch map. The first section you'll come across is Canyon Glen, a more established area featuring homes of approximately 1,500 to 3,000 square feet tucked into tree-lined lots.
Continuing south on Quinlan Park Road past Steiner Ranch Elementary School, you'll come to the light at Steiner Ranch Boulevard. Turn toward the west and continue to the four-way stop at Latimer Drive. On the right is the entrance to the Mesa North neighborhood, featuring homes with approximately 2,000 to 3,600 square feet. Left on Latimer leads to the Chaparral section, another well-established area with mature landscaping and traditional single-family brick homes.
A bit further west on Steiner Ranch Boulevard, you'll cross John Simpson Trail. The entrance to the Rocky Ridge neighborhood is on your left, and the Plateau section is to the right. Rocky Ridge features homes built in the late 1990s, ranging from 2,400 to 3,600 square feet, while homes in the Plateau neighborhood run from 1,500 to 4,000 square feet.
Staying on Steiner Ranch Boulevard, you'll quickly come across Grimes Ranch Road. Both The Headlands neighborhood to the right and Hancock Hill on your left feature spacious homes on large lots with plenty of mature trees. Just over a quarter mile down the road, you'll find the Majestic Oaks neighborhood with more homes from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Back out on North Quinlan Park Road, less than a half mile south of the Palo Verde retail center, is the turn-in to the gated community homes of Beverly's Ridge. About a dozen homes in this very private section average around 3,200 square feet and sit on shady quarter-acre lots.

Quinlan Crossing Shopping Center
Residents of Steiner Ranch’s northern neighborhoods enjoy convenient access to Quinlan Crossing Shopping Center near the community's main entrance. Anchored by Randall's grocery store, the center also hosts several pet care services, early learning facilities, daycare, and dining options.
Vista Ridge at Steiner Ranch
Less than a half-mile south of Quinlan Crossing is the Vista Ridge at Steiner Ranch shopping area, offering various medical and professional services and a few dining options.
John Simpson Park
You'll find the John Simpson Park and Community Center between The Headlands and Plateau neighborhoods just off Steiner Ranch Boulevard. Area residents enjoy a resort-style lap pool, a covered picnic pavilion, a shaded children's playground, and nearby tennis and basketball courts.
Northwest Section of Steiner Ranch

The northwest corner of the Steiner Ranch map features several neighborhoods near Lake Austin. Heading up Flat Top Ranch Road, across from Westridge Park, you'll find the entrance to The Estates at Westridge. Homes here are larger, ranging from 3,500 to 5,000 square feet on lots up to an acre in size. Another quarter-mile up the road is The Hills at Westridge, featuring large single-family homes with spacious landscaped lawns.
Flat Top Ranch Road ends at the gated entrance to the Bellagio Estates neighborhood. These custom waterfront homes sit on large, multi-acre lots featuring private boat docks and about 100 feet of Lake Austin shoreline.

Westridge Park
Westridge Park is on the opposite side of the road from the entrance to The Estates at Westridge. The park features plenty of mature shade trees, a children's playground area, and lots of open green space. Community members also find access to the Westridge Canyon Trail hiking area that weaves throughout this part of the community.
Northeast Section of Steiner Ranch

Back on Quinlan Park Road near Steiner Ranch Elementary School, turn east onto Steiner Ranch Boulevard and head up the hill. At Mira Vista Drive is the entrance to The Valley at Eastridge section. Homes average about 3,500 square feet and feature stone exteriors, large shaded lots, and long Hill Country views.
Keep heading up the hill on Steiner Ranch Boulevard to Via Colina Drive, leading to The Summit at Eastridge. The custom luxury homes here stretch from 3,000 to 5,000 square feet and feature some of the finest scenic vistas in the entire community.
Near the top of the hill, you'll find the neighborhood of Lakeview and the gated homes in The View. These new construction homes range from 2,000 to 4,000 square feet, with an unparalleled view of Lake Travis. Nearby, The View lives up to its name, featuring large single-family homes overlooking the expansive Texas Hill Country.

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse
A favorite throughout the area is the famous Steiner Ranch Steakhouse, a massive restaurant and entertainment venue overlooking Lake Travis. This 14,000-square-foot restaurant features Texas-style steaks, a world-class wine cellar, and plenty of live music at the northeast corner of the Steiner Ranch map.
Steiner Ranch Elementary School
Leander ISD's Steiner Ranch Elementary School serves students in this part of the community. Home of the Steiner Ranch Stallions, the school offers residents easy access from North Quinlan Park Road.
Around the UT Golf Club

Just over a mile and a half down Quinlan Park Road from the main entrance to Steiner Park is University Club Drive, leading to The University of Texas Golf Club. This area features neighborhoods with golf course homes of different sizes and styles.
Beyond the gates to The University of Texas Golf Club community, just around the bend past the lakes, you'll find a dozen properties comprising the Canyon Gate neighborhood. These Mediterranean-style homes vary from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet and feature endless Hill Country views.
At the traffic circle is the Woodland Hills section of Steiner Ranch. Homes here typically have stone or masonry exteriors, with floor plans ranging from 1,800 to 3,000 square feet. On the west side of University Club Drive, along the 8th and 9th fairways, lie the 14 custom luxury estates of The Legends. These upscale properties average 5,000 square feet and feature fantastic golf course views.
Farther south down University Club Drive, you'll see the UT Golf Club on your right. Turn left at the traffic circle onto Eagles Glen Drive toward the neighborhoods of Hunters Green, Eagles Glen, and Cliffside. Upscale properties in these sections range from 3,000 to 5,500 square feet, with well-appointed interiors to match the breathtaking outside views.
Several more private neighborhoods are toward the end of University Club Drive. On this section of the Steiner Ranch map overlooking Lake Austin, you'll find large luxury homes in Granite Bay, The Reserve, and Hawk's Canyon. In the smaller neighborhood sections of Red Oak Valley and Shadestone Villas, homes average about 2,000 to 3,200 square feet, most with spectacular views of the golf course and surrounding hill country.
Finally, Shoreview Estates and Laurel Canyon offer large custom homes on spacious private lots. The views of the golf course, Lake Austin, and nearby Balcones Preserves from these neighborhoods are among the most spectacular in the community.

The University of Texas Golf Club provides members with 18 holes of tournament-level golf overlooking Lake Austin. Around Towne Square

Returning to Quinlan Park Road, just south of the Shops at Steiner Ranch, you'll see Central Park Drive. This road loops around through the Parkside neighborhood, featuring affordable garden homes built in the mid-to-late 2000s by builders like Mercedes and David Weekley.
Continuing to the light at the intersection south of Towne Square Park, you'll see the Rio Mesa entrance on the left. Floor plans here average around 3,500 square feet and feature views of the University of Texas golf course and surrounding greenbelts. Across Quinlan Park Road, beyond Canyon Ridge Middle School and Laura Bush Elementary, you'll find the Towne Hollow section of Steiner Ranch. Here, more modest homes are amid many mature trees and well-manicured landscaping.
Beyond Towne Hollow are the quiet neighborhoods of Shire Ridge and River Heights Grove. These sections were built in the mid-2000s, with homes ranging between 3,000 and 4,000 square feet on tree-lined quarter-acre lots. At the end of Country Trails Lane is River Heights Overlook, a gated neighborhood section of larger luxury homes, many offering stunning Lake Austin views.

At the corner of Quinlan Park Road and Country Trails Lane, the Towne Square Community Center boasts a resort-level swimming pool, a kiddie pool and splash pad, lighted tennis courts, and plenty of open green space. The Shops at Steiner Ranch
Across from the UT Golf Club entrance are the Shops at Steiner Ranch. You'll find a gas station, convenience store, dining options, and various services here.
Laura Bush Elementary School
Area kids pre-kindergarten through 5th grade attend Laura Bush Elementary School in the Leander Independent School District.
Canyon Ridge Middle School
Canyon Ridge Middle School is across from Bush Elementary, serving 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade students living in this part of the community.
Between Towne Square & Longhorn Village

Heading south on Quinlan Park, approximately a quarter of a mile past Towne Square, you'll cross Capella Trail. To the left is the Las Brisas section, boasting large homes on generous lots nearly a half-acre in size. You'll see the Summer Vista entrance on the other side of Quinlan Park Road. This neighborhood features big, family-size homes sitting on lots of a quarter acre or more.
The next intersection down Quinlan Park is Horseback Hollow Court and the entrance to the Savannah and Savannah Point neighborhoods. Homes in the Savannah section average around 3,000 square feet and are generally of stone or brick construction. Savannah Point properties are more extensive, Mediterranean-style homes featuring red tile roofs and stucco finishes. Residents in both of these neighborhoods enjoy awe-inspiring views.
Another quick jump down Quinlan Park and a right turn on Lakewood Hills Pass puts us in the Lakewood Hills neighborhood. This private gated section contains large estate-style properties on lots up to an acre with spectacular views of nearby Lake Austin.

Near the southern end of the Steiner Ranch map, you'll find Longhorn Village, a world-class senior living community designed to accommodate an independent retirement lifestyle. J-Canyon Trail
Outdoor enthusiasts in this part of Steiner Ranch will find quick access to the residents-only J-Canyon Trail. This out-and-back hiking path runs about six miles along easy to moderately challenging terrain.
South End of Steiner Ranch

At the bottom of the Steiner Ranch map, just south of the Longhorn Village retirement community, look for Bella Mar Trail, the road leading to several neighborhoods with homes of varying styles and sizes. Properties in the Monterey section are typically smaller than those in the nearby Belcara neighborhood. Homeowners in both sections enjoy gorgeous scenery and easy access to area hike and bike trails.
Continuing to the far southeast corner of the community, you'll find the luxurious homes of the Palisades, Emerald Ridge, and Mediterra neighborhoods. These sections feature well-appointed custom homes up to 5,000 square feet or more, many of which provide stunning views of the surrounding area.
Directly across the road from the River Ridge Elementary School, you'll see the gated entrance to the private Sierra Vista neighborhood. Properties here boast breathtaking views of Lake Austin, with custom home floor plans as large as 9,000 square feet. The next neighborhood down is Tierra Grande, where residents on the southeastern end enjoy greenbelt views and all residents enjoy beautiful brick, stucco, and stone construction.
If you continue south on Quinlan Park, you'll find the gated neighborhoods of The Bluffs, Santaluz, and The Grove. These upscale community sections feature recently built custom homes and large lots with plenty of mature oak trees and some of the most spectacular views Steiner Ranch offers. Keep going to the end of the road, and you'll arrive at the Lake Austin Spa Resort. If you instead turn on River Bend, you'll discover the Steiner Ranch Lake Club.

Behind River Ridge Elementary, you'll find the Bella Mar Community Center. Residents here enjoy an eight-lane Junior Olympic lap pool and a resort-style lounge pool with a nearby splash pad for kids. Facilities include an outdoor pavilion and an indoor party room with a fully equipped kitchen.

River Ridge Elementary
Pre-kindergarten through 5th-grade students in this part of Steiner Ranch are zoned for Leander ISD's River Ridge Elementary, the community's newest of its three elementary schools.

Touring Steiner Ranch on the map doesn't do the community justice.
