The Woodlands High School

The Woodlands High School is a part of Conroe ISD and has two campuses: the 9th-grade campus and the 10th–12th-grade campus. Both sites run from 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. and boast an 18-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. 

The Woodlands High School main campus is located at 6101 Research Forest Dr. It sits northwest of The Woodlands downtown area near Bear Branch Park, the Panther Creek community, and Cochran's Crossing. The Woodlands High School 9th-Grade Campus is located at 10010 Branch Crossing Dr. in the Sterling Ridge neighborhood. It’s surrounded by several nearby communities, including Carlton Woods, Gary Glen, and the golf course homes in Player Woods.

There are over 130 elective courses and 80 clubs and student organizations offered at The Woodlands High School. This includes AP courses, STEM courses, foreign languages, and Honors courses. Students can also participate in 15 competitive sports as well as debate team, band, choir, drill team, and more.

Feeder campuses to The Woodlands High School include The Woodlands middle schools of Mitchell Intermediate, Wilkerson Intermediate (if the student is in the Glen Loch elementary attendance zone), and McCullough Junior High. 

The Woodlands College Park High School

The Woodlands High School College Park

The Woodlands College Park High School serves 9th–12th-grade students in Conroe ISD. The campus is home to just over 3,200 students and has a 17-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. Classes start at 7:20 a.m. and run until 2:35 p.m.

This high school is located at 3701 College Park Dr., just west of I-45, North Fwy, about 5 miles north of The Woodlands downtown area. It neighbors several communities, including Stillwater and the gated community of Boulevard Green at Vision Park. 

The Woodlands College Park High School offers students 130 elective choices, 60 clubs and organizations, and 15 competitive sports teams. Trying out for golf, soccer, powerlifting, volleyball, or track is a great opportunity for students to test their skills and get involved. Students can also take AP courses, dual credit courses, Honors courses, career and technology courses, and more. Parents looking to get involved can join PTO, the Grad Night Committee, Swords of Success, or several booster clubs, including the MCJROTC Booster Club. Each of these offerings is a great opportunity for the whole household to build community and connect to others. 

Feeder campuses to The Woodlands College Park High School include Collins Intermediate, Wilkerson Intermediate (for those living in the attendance zones for The Woodlands elementary schools of Haily and Lamar), and Knox Junior High School. 

Tomball High School

Tomball High School is part of the Tomball Independent School District. It serves approximately 2,350 9th–12th-grade students and has an 18-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. The Tomball High School day starts at 7:00 a.m. and runs until 2:35 p.m.

The campus is located at 30330 Quinn Road in the city of Tomball, about 22 miles west of The Woodlands. It sits near Highway 249 and is within walking distance of neighborhoods like Spring Pines Estates, Buckingham Terrace, and Jerry Matheson Park. 

Tomball High School offers a wide variety of elective options, including animal science courses, wildlife courses, law enforcement courses, journalism, debate, aviation, engineering, and more. It also offers career and technical courses and AP courses. Students at Tomball High can also play in a variety of competitive sports programs, clubs, and fine arts classes. 

Feeder schools into Tomball High School include Tomball Intermediate, Tomball Junior High, and Creekside Park Junior High. 

Magnolia High School

Magnolia High School is in the Magnolia Independent School District and serves 9th–12th-grade students in the city of Magnolia, TX. This site has an approximate enrollment of 2,000 students and a 17-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. The school day at Magnolia High runs from 7:15 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. 

The Magnolia High Campus is located about 16 miles west of The Woodlands at 14350 Farm to Market Rd. 1488. It’s easily accessible from Texas State Highway 249, the Aggie Expressway. Nearby neighborhoods include Mostyn Manor, Thousand Oaks, and the master-planned community Audubon. 

Academic opportunities at Magnolia High School include Advanced, AP, DC, and IB credit programs. Students also have a chance to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities. iSchool High

iSchool High is a designated Early College High School offering an opportunity for students to earn a high school diploma and up to an associate’s degree through Lone Star College Montgomery within four years. This school is designated as a Charter School and serves approximately 300 9th–12th-grade students. It offers a student-to-teacher ratio of 26 to 1. 

The iSchool High Campus is located in The Woodlands at 3232 College Park Dr Ste. 212 near I-45, North Freeway. It sits just minutes from neighborhoods like the gated Windsor Lakes community and the new construction homes in Stillwater. 

iSchool offers virtual learning and other flexible learning options. The school also features a range of academic options, including AP courses, dual credit courses, and a college and career transitions course. 

iSchool High offers open enrollment and applications at the campus, by phone, or online.

The John Cooper School serves approximately 1,300 PreK–12th-grade students. It’s located at 1 John Cooper Drive, The Woodlands, just 5 miles from downtown. The 43-acre site features a performing arts center, two gymnasiums, and several sports fields. High school students can select from 21 AP courses, 28 clubs and organizations, 25 fine arts courses, six innovative science labs, and more. This tuition-based private school also offers a low student-to-teacher ratio of 11 to 1. The John Cooper School boasts that 100% of graduates attend college. 

The Woodlands Christian Academy is a private independent college prep school serving students from PreK–12th grade. It’s located at 5800 Academy Way, The Woodlands, 1.3 miles from I-45 North Freeway. Academic offerings at The Woodlands Christian Academy include Biblical Studies, Foreign Languages, AP courses, Entrepreneurship, STEAM classes, and more. Students can also participate in a range of extracurricular activities, including athletics and arts. The Woodlands Christian Academy also offers a student-to-teacher ratio of 11 to 1. 

Cunae International School is a private micro-school for PreK–12th-grade students. It’s located at 5655 Creekside Forest Dr. in The Woodlands near Auburn Lakes, Augusta Pines Golf Club, and Willow Creek Golf Club. They offer an IB diploma and focus on language and literature courses, arts, mathematics, and science. Students can also join the after-school programs for activities, including chess and robotics. Cunae International School has a student-to-teacher ratio of 8 to 1.
