Galveston Real Estate Market

Galveston Community Amenities

Galveston is a hotspot for tourists, so there are always things to do.  Activities include gambling and gaming at the Borgata of Galveston, catching a show or live music at The Railhead, and enjoying ice cream and cocktails on the seawall.

The city is also home to Moody Gardens, which features attractions like the Aquarium Pyramid, the Discovery Lab, and the Rainforest Pyramids. The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier amusement park offers carnival rides, food stalls, arcades, entertainment stages, and more.

Public transportation in Galveston is provided by the City of Galveston trolley system. The trolleys run on electric power and offer a convenient and affordable way to get around the city. There are currently three lines in the trolley system: the green line, the blue line, and the red line.

Schools in Galveston are managed by the  Galveston Independent School District. There is a total of eleven schools in the district, including several magnet schools. There are several higher-education institutions in and near Galveston, such as University of Houston – Downtown, Galveston College, and the University of Texas Medical Branch.
