Sunnyvale Real Estate Market

In Sunnyvale, most homes are built in farmhouse or traditional styles, usually with two to four bedrooms, mature trees, and plenty of gardening space. Usual home prices start in the mid-$500s and can range through the $800s—although luxury homes range from $1 million to $4 million. These homes generally sit on massive plots of land and offer private amenities like backyard pools.

Sunnyvale's population has grown steadily over the past decade with the rest of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, so new construction homes are a common sight. New builds start at $700,000, with more million-dollar luxury properties on the way.

Sunnyvale Community Amenities

Sunnyvale is home to several great parks, each with its own unique features and amenities. Town Center Park, one of the local favorites, features a fishing pond, a covered playground, and more. For those who like hiking or biking, Samuell Farm North Park is another great option: in the spring, the hike and bike trail winds past fields of blooming bluebonnets.

The fun doesn't end outside of town limits. The surrounding area has tons of amenities to offer, like Windsurf Bay Park in the nearby city of Garland. The park, which covers 42 acres of Lake Ray Hubbard's shoreline, gets its name because it's an ideal location for windsurfing.

Just a few minutes to the east, the town of Heath offers several golf courses and more parks on the lake. The city of Mesquite to the south features a world-famous rodeo, museums, and attractions like the Celebration Station amusement park.

Sunnyvale is served by the Sunnyvale Independent School District. The district is made up of one elementary school, one middle school, one intermediate school, and one high school. There aren't any private schools within Sunnyvale itself, but there are several in the area, like Dallas Christian School and Children's Safari Private School.

For those looking for a small-town feel with easy access to the city, Sunnyvale is a great option.
